If you know me and don’t care about the nature stuff I post, you can follow my personal blog
I take photos, I only read nonfiction, I travel and go on expeditions, I think through a viewfinder, I love geology, environmental sciences, ecology and animal biology, and I prefer animals to humans. Alaska is my favorite place in the whole world, next to Iceland. Travel, Wildlife and Landscape photography are what I like to shoot most. Polar bears are my current infatuation. I’m scared of flying but do it more than most people I know. I’m sort of one huge contradiction. My obsession with animals and nature has consumed me completely.
I suppose the easiest way for you to understand what I’m about is for me to describe my bedroom. Here, my bed has zebra print sheets, with a comforter with a wolf’s face on it. My bed is sprinkled with stuffed polar bears, moose, white tigers, and elephants. My shelves are packed; one shelf is my complete National Geographic collection of the past few years, and the other is journals, travel books, and wildlife guides. Next to my TV is a hand carved animal sculpture from Kenya, and hanging next to it are wooden zebra, giraffe, and elephant masks from Tanzania. The opposite wall has an autographed landscape from Colorado taken by photographer Nate Zeman, and above it, a bulletin board in the shape of a polar bear hangs, littered with patches from Denali, Natural History Museums, and various parks. Above my bed is a collage of frames; one large picture of polar bears, a poster of orcas that reads “SEWARD”, framed post cards from Denali, and a photograph of two adorable grizzlies. Another shelf in my room is strictly travel memorabilia (miniature Eiffel towers, shot glasses from the bahamas, an irish jewelry box, a gold pocket mirror from Spain, a totem pole from Alaska, a glass cat from New Zealand, a change purse from Argentina, etc) and a small rock collection with rocks from Iceland, Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, Spain, and Tanzania. Hopefully now you understand me better.
